Your gear

HI Tim here with a reminder that if you have not been out riding yet, maybe it's time !! Take some time to sort through your gear and make sure that everything is ready to go . Check your helmet that so that it is adjusted right . Find the shoes you like to wear . Clean out your water bottles . Look at your bike again and make sure that there is air in the tires . Wipe it down if it is dusty. Just make sure that everything is ready to go so that when you have a chance to go for a ride, you can just hop on and go instead of using half the time you have looking for things ! It sure does bring a smile to my face as I am feeling the breeze from the ride again . See you out there!!

Hi!

I have recently been diagnosed with arthritis of both knees and will eventually need knee replacements. My weight isn't helping matters any since I am 360 lbs, so I need to exercise. There are two kinds of exercise that I can tolerate; bicycling and swimming. Walking any great distance is painful, so that is out. The point of this is to say that I am very interested in getting one of your electric motor assisted tricycles , since it seems so practical . I would like to know if the motor for this tricycle runs through the bike's gearing system or is it like an old system that used to be sold in the 1970's whereby a motor driven toothed wheel of sorts would impinge against one of the tires and provide some power that way? This old system would wear out tires in no time flat. I am sure you must use gearing through the chain system, but just thought that I would ask and be sure. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Curtis,
Thanks for asking. The motor for the TriCruiser is gear-driven. It's really smooth, noiseless, and doesn't wear down the tires at all.
